Our team has gone through a period of growth in the last 16 months, resulting in additional Field Service Engineers and the new role of Customer Solutions Coordinator being created. The growing service team is lead by Paul Lennon, Service Operations Manager, and David Bromley, Field Service Engineer Team Leader. David and Paul are familiar faces for a lot of our customers and fulfil the following roles.

David has been with CUTERA for 8 years and is based in Brisbane. David is the Technical support champion on the CUTERA systems and leads our Field Service Engineers in providing the support and expertise you need in maintaining your CUTERA equipment.

Paul has been with CUTERA for 5 years and is based in Sydney. Paul is the link between our customers and the operational side of CUTERA Australia, involving customer support, service agreements and servicing your CUTERA equipment.
Cutera System Recommended User Maintenance
Clean the External Surfaces of the system console – Daily or as needed
- Wipe all surfaces down with a cloth dampened with a non-caustic cleaning solution, such as mild soap & water, isopropyl alcohol or hospital grade disinfectant. Dry with a clean cloth or allow to air dry
Clean the system touchscreen display – Daily or as needed
Inspect and clean the heat exchanger intake – Inspect weekly; clean monthly or as needed
Check and fill the coolant reservoir – Inspect weekly; Fill when required
- Fill reservoir to 3/4 full for optimal operation
Inspect and clean the handpiece/s – During treatment, as needed and between patient use
- Do not place handpieces into the handpiece holster unless they have been cleaned
- Clean the handpiece holster after each treatment to prevent cross contamination
Check the condition of the operator eyewear and patient goggles before use
- Check operator eyewear for damage and is the correct wavelength and optical density for the system in use
- Apply wet gauze over the eyelid when using patient metal eye shields
- Clean metal eye shields with a germicidal disposable wipe or disinfecting wipe after each use
Cutera Laser System Operating Tips
The service team recommend that you turn on your Cutera Laser System and leave in Standby for 30 minutes prior to use as it,
Allows the DI Water to cycle through the deionising cartridge, cleaning the water prior to use
Allows the system to reach optimal operating temperature
Provides the clinic team an opportunity to do the above user maintenance
Enables your Cutera Laser to operate to optimal capacity
Care and Handling instructions for Excel V & EV+ Handpiece Fibers
Please follow this procedure when attaching and removing handpiece fiber connections from your Cutera Excel V laser system to avoid contamination and damage to the optical fiber input surfaces.
Always ensure your hands are clean before proceeding and DO NOT handle the fiber connectors while wearing gloves or with contaminants on your hands.

Hold the Hand Piece Fiber facing down

Remove the protective cap.
While handling this connector DO NOT
place your fingers on or near the open end of the fiber connector.

Align notch on hand piece with mark as shown above, the connector should NOT require force to insert.

Turn the fiber connector to the lock position.
Store the white protective cap as shown above.
Always keep the area near the fiber port and connectors clean and free of dust & debris.
Always re-fit the protective cap when changing over the hand piece.
